Barking, meowing, crawling, chirping? Where in the world are we? It’s hard to believe, but these animals are all in the Städel Museum: four rats dance Ring around the Rosie, an eagle doing a headstand, an elegant bronze steed strutting proudly by, two bored zebras showing us their backsides … and that’s not all!
Sometimes the animals are the main focus; elsewhere they’re hiding out somewhere in the picture. Throughout the epochs and styles there’s so much to discover—and so much to learn about the works. We’re off!
