Biography

1957-1959 State Art Academy, Karlsruhe, under HAP Grieshaber. 1960 first one-man show at the 'Der Spiegel' gallery, Cologne. 1962-1963 residences in Florence (Villa Romana Prize) and Rome (Villa Massimo Prize). 1964 'documenta 3', Kassel. 1965-1971 director of the painting class at the Karlsruhe Academy, from 1967 professor. 1968 guest professor at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste, Berlin. 1984 resumes the professorship in Karlsruhe.
