Biography

Born in 1954 in St. Tönis, near Krefeld. Studied at the Staatliche Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under Joseph Beuys from 1971 to 1977. In 1980 a co-founder of the communal atelier Mülheimer Freiheit in Cologne. Beginning in 1995 professor of painting at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig. Lives and works in Cologne and Braunschweig.
