Biography

From 1921 to 1939, Albert Ebert trains as a mason and does odd jobs in Halle. From 1939 to 1945 he does military service, during which he becomes a prisoner of war. In 1946, he studies under Carl Crodel (painting) and Waldemar Grzimek (drawing) at the art school Burg Giebichenstein. In 1948 he is a restoration trainee in Moritzburg. From 1954 to 1956, he is a stoker at Burg Giebichenstein. He also does construction work. From 1956 he is a freelance painter. In 1966 he has his first exhibition in West Germany at the Badischer Kunstverein, Karlsruhe.
