Biography

Born in 1949 in Chrudim, Bohemia. In 1968-69 studied at Prague's Technical University. In 1969 moved to Germany. 1971-1972 studied at the Staatliche Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under Gerhard Richter. Lived in New York from 1972 to 1982. 1979 founding of the 'Gruppe Normal' (with Milan Kunc and Peter Angermann). 1982 to 1984 attended a seminary in Rome. Lived and worked in Cologne from 1984 to 1989, then in Modena, and since 1992 in the Czech Republic.
