Belongs to the circle of artists around Rudolf Levy, Hans Purrmann, and Albert Weisgerber, meeting at the 'Café du Dôme'. 1907 first solo exhibition at the Galerie Eugène Blot, Paris. 1914-1938 lives in Frankfurt am Main. Member of the 'Frankfurter Künstlerbund', an artists' association. Travels to Italy and France. Exhibitions at the Ludwig Schames gallery, Frankfurt. Active in the Jewish Cultural League. 1929-1934 teaches at J. W. Goethe University, Frankfurt. 1938 emigrates to Paris and Tours. 1943 deported to Majdanek, Poland.
