Biography

Giovanni Battista Naldini (born in Fiesole in 1535; died in Florence in 1591), pupil and employee of Pontormo; study trip to Rome under the sponsorship of Vincenzo Borghini 1560/61. In Florence, he worked with Vasari, later as an independent painter, mainly of altarpieces.
