Abstract Art

Abstract art distances itself from the depiction of the representational. Its variety is infinite. Many artists work gesturally and impulsively with curving, energetic brushstrokes, whereas other painters compose their works geometrically and neatly arranged, or create impressive fields of colour. What results is a wide spectrum of pictures which are not limited to a single interpretation.
