About the Work

To judge from their poses and gestures, the two men are engaged in animated conversation as they stride along. The one towards the back has wrapped his left arm around the shoulder of the other and appears to be pointing at something with his right hand. His companion listens attentively, as is evident from his facial expression and splayed index finger. In this drawing, Giuseppe Cesari achieved a convincing and sensitive portrayal of a discussion situation.
