About the Work
At the tender age of twenty-seven Moholy-Nagy became a professor when he took up the position of instructor of the foundation course and the metal workshop at the Bauhaus in Weimar. He strove to link art, engineering and life. Moholy-Nagy experimented with telephones and designed so-called light sculptures. There was hardly a medium he did not know how to use – and hardly an artist as innovative as him. Even so, the Hungarian kept painting, and through geometric reduction clearly showed his artistic convictions.
