Marco Ruggeri, called Marco Zoppo (born in Cento, near Bologna, in 1432 or 1433; died in Venice in 1478), was active from roughly 1453 in the workshop of Francesco Squarcione in Padua. (His adoption by Squarcione was revoked after his move to Venice in 1455.) A few paintings and an extensive, highly individual draughtsmanly oeuvre (individual sheets, albums) survive.
